Fishing for Compliments by Ellie Sparks

Your rod hung

In lonely air,
Extending further and
Further.
A seagull flew into it;
Snapped it straight in
Half.
I thought you'd pursue
Another hobby.
You sat upon freezing
Pebbles,
Weeping salt water.
